DEKA is a MedTech company based in Greater Boston area, USA. (Founded in 1982). The company committed to designing and developing medical devices that change people's lives.
As a full time UI/UX Designer at DEKA. I have participated in the website UI, mobile UI and HMI design of multiple medical devices. I executed comprehensive market and user research initiatives, contributing to an enriched understanding of these domains. This experience notably augmented my aptitude for collaborative work. Two projects I participated in were approved by the US FDA(Food and Drug Administration) in 2024.
Project 1 - Diabetes AGP (Ambulatory Glucose Profile) dashboard Design (US FDA Approved)
Led the design of the AGP (Ambulatory Glucose Profile) dashboard website and mobile UI prototypes, user flows, UI design system guidelines conducted over 50+ user testing, catering specifically to diabetic patients and their healthcare providers. Created a customer support and logistics management web dashboard for user care. Collaborated closely with cross-functional teams at Deka's AWS Cloud, including Software Engineers and Product Managers, to effectively align design objectives with business goals and technical feasibility.
Project 2 - Dashboard UI design & HMI design for kidney transplant equipment
Designed Websites & Mobile cloud management dashboard UI and HMI monitor interfaces for kidney transplant equipment. Conducted user research, developed user flows, established UI design system guidelines, and performed A/B user testing.
Project 3 - Volume Infusion Controller dashboard Design (US FDA Approved & Collaborate with Apple, Inc.)
Designed the dashboard UI for the Volume Infusion Controller on web & mobile platforms. Collaborate with Apple Inc. to design the supporting Apple Watch UI. Utilized anima tools to rapidly package front-end HTML&CSS code for delivery to engineers, resulting in a 2X increase in project speed.
